On 30 October 2014, the website for St. Michael Girls’ School, the new brand dedicated to A Kiss For The Petals / Sono Hanabira ni Kuchizuke wo, launched at http://mikajyo.pink.
At the time of the launch, four images and information about their new Twitter account, @mikajyo_info, were published. No information about any new product releases is available at this time. Reports from the December 2014 issue of Dengeki Hime are pending.
Translations for each label are as follows.
The six new characters appear to be illustrated by Aida Takanobu, who worked on the Angels series, but this has not been confirmed yet. Peko is the illustrator of the other three images, suggesting that the new characters are part of a separate storyline, which is further supported by the entirely different school uniforms.
The illustration of Reo was previously seen in the leaflets handed out during Girls Love Festival.
Unusually for new website launches, detailed instructions are provided for registering a Twitter account and following @mikajyo_info, as part of a Twitter Follower Campaign. A number of follower milestones were listed, along with incentives. There are multiple blank spaces between each milestone, which will presumably be filled with more information about eventual releases.
- 300 followers: Original wallpaper (Annex facility) (Reached on 30 October 2014 at approximately 1:00 A.M. EDT)
The wallpaper is available at the website in resolutions for desktops and mobile devices.
- 500 followers: Original wallpaper (Main school)
- 5,000 followers: Original clock mobile app featuring yuri-themed artwork
- 50,000 followers: New anime production
- 59,084,321 followers: Expansion of the St. Michael campus
The obvious point of attention is the new anime at 50,000 followers. It appears that the instructions were given to encourage visitors to register multiple accounts and inflate the follower count. However, given the patterns for Twitter accounts for anime programs, it seems unlikely that this total will be reached. For example, @yurinyurin_soft currently has 4,803 followers, and the average anime account has about 5,000 followers.
The last milestone is the follower count of the most followed account as of 30 October 2014, @katyperry, plus one.
Further information about this new company’s releases, including how the other characters will feature and the fate of Yurin Yurin (which has not updated since April 2014), will likely be revealed in the December 2014 issue of Dengeki Hime, which was also released today. This post will be updated as more information becomes available.
